About Eric
Eric Proctor’s roots run deep here in House District 77. Eric is a fourth generation homeowner in House District 77 and fifth generation Oklahoman. Eric’s great grandparents, Rev. Tommy and Marie Roberts moved to House District 77 in 1950 and helped to start Airport Free Will Baptist Church (Now at Pine and Mingo). Eric’s home is 1 mile from where his great grandparents lived over 50 years ago. Eric’s grandparents, H.D. Hale and Dean Hale soon followed and in 1952 they moved to the 5900 block of King Street. Eric’s mother Debbie Hale, Uncle Danny Hale, and Aunt Sherri McGregor attended McKinley Elementary School.

Eric received his Associate of Arts degree from Tulsa Community College. Eric then went on to earn his Bachelor of Arts degree from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. Eric is married to Tara and they attend First Baptist Church here in Tulsa. While in college Eric served as a youth minister and lead his youth group on missionary trips helping the homeless, food banks, John 3:16 mission, and Habitat for Humanity.
Prior to being elected, Eric served our community as an alternative high school history/government teacher. Eric’s father is an elementary school teacher at Greeley Elementary in North Tulsa and his mother has taught special education children for over 20 years in Oklahoma public schools.
Eric has served the community in both the ministry and as a teacher and now feels called to serve and fight for House District 77 as our State Representative.
Eric Proctor is an Oklahoma Democrat who believes that the job of a State Representative is to fight for the people of his district and to put people before politics. Our neighborhoods have too many concerns to have a leader who will not stand up for us or a leader who puts partisonship before what is right. Eric Proctor is a leader who is standing up for working families and for our interest in Oklahoma City. Eric places the people of our district at the front of the line instead of the special interest groups, big business, and political parties. Eric is standing up for what is right and is a fresh voice that puts seniors, children, veterans, workers, and our families first!
